Banner at Historic City HallOver $750,000 in property damage was caused by the fire that destroyed over 109 commercial buildings, homes, churches and government offices.

An exhibit commemorating the Great Fire of 1910 will open at the Historic City Hall Arts and Cultural Center on April 7th, 2010.

A documentary film produced and directed by Westlake High School Student Rachel Guasp along with fellow classmates at Lake Charles Boston Learning Academy is also a part of the exhibit.

Our quarterly meeting will be held on April 24th, and will consist of a 2010 Fire Walk Tour, including a brief lecture by Preservationist and former CHPS President, Adley Cormier.
