Membership Meetings at Historic Buildings including the Henning House Museum, Calcasieu Parish Courthouse, 1911 City Hall, Federal Courthouse and Post Office (Lundy-Davis Law Firm), and Central School.
- Annual Palm Sunday Historic Home Tours featuring guided tours of historic homes and buildings in various stages of restoration.
- Kickshaws Quarterly Newsletters mailed to members with the details of our historic preservation activities.
- Annual Landmark and CALCA Commendation Awards.
- Annual List of Eleven Most Endangered Things, Structures, and Places.
- Narrated Bus Tours of the Historic Districts in cooperation with the Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Walking Tour Brochures for the Historic Districts and Cemeteries available through the Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau.
- Historic District Review Committee Activities inlude advising Historic District residents and prospective residents regarding guidelines for restoration and new development in the Historic Districts and working with the City of Lake Charles to develop the City of Lake Charles Historic Districts Design Guidelines document.
- Preservation After Hurricane Rita Forums presented in cooperation with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism, and the McFadden-Ward Historic House Museum of Beaumont, Texas.
- Historic Building Recovery Grant Program coordinated with the City of Lake Charles and presented by the Louisiana Office of Historic Preservation.

Monthly Board Meetings The Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of each month at 6 PM in the meeting room at the west end of the first floor of the historic Central School Arts and Humanities Building on Kirby Street.Simply select the desired level of membership from the options listed to the right, complete our membership form, print and send with your check. to the Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society, PO Box 1214, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70602-1214.
In addition to the Annual Palm Sunday Historic Home Tour, three other general membership meetings and events are usually scheduled each year. Check the news section here on CalcasieuPreservation.com for dates.
The first quarterly meeting is generally held in January and constitutes the annual meeting. At the annual meeting, elections for officers are held and the Landmark and CALCA Commendation are awarded.
